The month of May is finally here and it can only mean one thing; It’s my birthday month! Oh, and it’s time for Mother’s Day! I probably say this every year, but I really don’t need a single day to make my mom feel special because I do that all of the time! But I know that she enjoys having a day entirely devoted to her and being able to spend some quality time with her children. This year I’m hosting her for brunch at my house and cooking up some delicious Pecan Praline Pancakes!
I decided to team up with Cost Plus World Market to create a delicious brunch and make my table look beautiful! My husband hates going with me to our local CPWM because he knows that I’ll be in there for at least an hour wandering the aisles. I love their home items and they have a really awesome International food selection too! I thought that their food aisles would be the best place to start my planning for the perfect brunch for my mom. Whatever you’re looking for, World Market has some fun goodies for easy entertaining!
Planning Your Food
In my quest for the perfect brunch essentials, my eyes went directly to a canister of Southern Pecan Pancake Mix and I instantly knew that my mom would love these pancakes! I decided that I would dress them up with a fancy Pecan Praline Butter and some fresh maple syrup for the ultimate dish. Of course a side of bacon and some tasty lemon scones will also be dressing my table. I also found a line of sparkling sodas by Lorina that I thought would look perfect on my table.
Planning Your Table
After deciding on what I was going to serve at my brunch I decided to focus on making my table beautiful. I found a very colorful table runner covered in beautiful flowers and decided it would set the tone for my brunch. If you’re planning your own brunch I highly recommend starting with a statement piece such as a table runner and building your table from there. My white coupe dinner plates pair perfectly with almost anything and I’m even planning to pull out my fancy cup and saucer sets for this brunch!
Wrapping it all up, serving a brunch at home this Mother’s Day can be stress-free with the right props. If you have a World Market in your area you may want to check them out for inspiration and pick up the Southern Pecan Pancake Mix that I mentioned above. It pairs perfectly with my Pecan Praline Butter and will absolutely bring a smile to your mom’s face!
