It has been a while since I last experienced the ‘back to school’ chaos that surrounds one life when fall comes around. But I still can understand and relate with those that are currently in the throws of the season. I understand that things tend to get a little crazier than normal with getting everyone back into the swing of things. And of course, there is nothing better than planning lunches and dinners ahead of time so that you’re not caught running to the grocery store at the last minute. I created these delicious Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches so that you can serve your family the perfect meal for dinner tonight and bring everyone around the table to talk about their day. I used Tyson® Chicken Patties which I love because they have no artificial ingredients and are perfectly sandwich-sized patties for your dinner needs.
Aside from dinner, if you have kids that have head back to school recently or soon will be heading back to school it is time to start thinking about your lunch routine. Sandwiches, vegetables, snacks…these all need to be planned out ahead of time so that you’re not sending your kids to school empty handed. One of my favorite things is a delicious turkey sandwich. I like to use Hillshire Farm® Naturals because it is an all natural lunchmeat with the delicious taste you want to come back to.
I picked up theTyson® Chicken Patties for my Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches at my local Meijer store. They had a really great selection of Tyson products that are all great for quick and easy weeknight meals. You can also find the Hillshire Farm® Naturals deli meat at Meijer as well in their deli department. My favorite is the Slow Roasted Turkey Breast!
So let’s get to the recipe….I love these sandwiches because you can make them in under 20 minutes! They use only 5 ingredients and are sure to delight your entire family. - 6 hamburger buns or kaiser rolls
- 6 Tyson Chicken Patties
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- ⅓ cup pizza sauce
- basil leaves
- Bake the Tyson Chicken Patties according to the package instructions.
- In the final 2 minutes of cooking, remove the patties from the oven and place 1 slice of cheese on each patty. Divide the pizza sauce between the 6 patties and return to the oven for the final 2 minutes of cooking.
- Remove the patties from the oven and place 1 on each of the 6 buns. Garnish with basil and serve immediately.
