Just typing this title has me totally craving a BLT! Living abroad, even if just for a week, has me missing a few things from home, including the cuisine. I definitely miss my grill and my fully stocked kitchen. This is almost embarrassing to admit but I begged my husband to get things to make ground beef tacos over the weekend because I was totally craving something familiar! It didn’t help that earlier in the morning he was listing out a menu of things that he’d want to order from a BBQ restaurant if there was one nearby! It’s not that I can’t find ingredients here or things similar, it’s that I don’t have all of the ingredients I might require (like spices) or the proper utensils to prepare the meal like I would at home. And since I’m only living in this apartment for 3 months I don’t want to invest in things that I’ll have to leave behind when I leave because obviously I can’t drag everything around with me for a full year! But let’s get back to today’s post: Avocado Ranch BLT Sandwiches…..
Yes, I could easily make these in France. There’s bread. Delicious, amazing brioche bread. Avocado, bacon and beautiful tomatoes surrounding me daily. But there’s no Litehouse Avocado Ranch dressing. Oh how I miss my refrigerator full of Litehouse dressing! The addition of this dressing to a classic BLT really takes it from ordinary to extraordinary in my opinion.
Lucky for many of you, you should be able to find the dressing in your local grocery store. So head on over to the Living Litehouse blog and grab the recipe for this tasty Avocado Ranch BLT Sandwich. And then have one for me while you’re at it!
