Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone I am in total holiday mode. I don’t do a ton of gift buying but I’ve been making a list of those that I need to find gifts for, which mainly consists of nieces and nephews. I know that kids love opening presents but I decided to detour from the typical toys this year and go with experiences. Any suggestions? I’m also focused on holiday parties, because who isn’t? I’m not hosting anything to this point but I know of a few events that I’ll have to attend so I’ve been coming up with new appetizers including this Blue Cheese with Date and Olive Tapenade.
Any cheese is good in my book as an appetizer but this recipe takes a basic blue cheese round and dresses it up a bit. It’s festive and it’s delicious. I’m teaming up with my friends over at Litehouse today using their delicious Blue Cheese Center Cut as the base for this appetizer. I love this appetizer because it combines a salty/briny cheese along with a slightly sweetened topping.
Do you have a favorite appetizer to bring to holiday parties? I’d love to hear about them! In the mean time, head over to the Living Litehouse blog to grab the recipe for this Blue Cheese with Date and Olive Tapenade if you need some inspiration!
