Ciao friends! Is everyone in the Christmas spirit, and possibly thinking how crazy it is that in only 10 days we’ll be celebrating?! This year has flown by and I can’t believe that we are already at Christmas and nearly to 2019! This certainly has been a big year for me and this Christmas is going to be a little different given that I’m living in Europe and away from my family. It makes me a little sad but I’m very grateful for the wonderful experience. For those of you back home celebrating with family and friends I have a delicious appetizer recipe for you today! This Marinated Feta Platter is the perfect appetizer to bring to any party and is super easy to prepare!
Before we get to the recipe I just wanted to give everyone a little update on my travels! After running around to Christmas markets in Prague and Munich we have settled into our home here in Florence for the next 8 weeks. Our apartment is cozy and we are learning our new neighborhood, where to grocery shop and exploring this beautiful city. We have some fun things planning for our time in Tuscany including a cooking class today, a Florence food tour at the end of the week and plenty of visits to some amazing wineries to get a closeup look at some of our favorite wines in production! I could not be more excited for the next 2 months in this area!
Alright, let’s get back to this fabulous recipe! I made my marinated feta using my favorite herbs from my friends at Litehouse. It really is easy to make and gives so much flavor to the feta to serve along with pita wedges/chips and other accompaniments like hummus, olives and roasted red peppers. The best part is that you can marinate the feta 1-2 days ahead of time for maximum flavor and then put the entire platter together the day of the party with ease.
Head on over to the Living Litehouse blog to grab the recipe for this Marinated Feta Holiday Platter and serve it up at your next Christmas party!
