If there’s one thing that this Wisconsin food blogger loves, it’s cheese. I prefer hard cheeses such as Parmiggiano Reggiano or extra aged cheddar cheese, but I also have a soft spot for blue-veined cheeses such as blue and Gorgonzola. These cheeses are not just delicious on salads, they also pair very well with many different things. It has taken me a while to learn to love these cheeses. You see, cheese is like a fine wine. You must train your taste buds to really appreciate the flavor. Not to mention I had to get over that whole ‘blue cheese is moldy’ mentality.
My friends over at Litehouse Foods make a wonderful blue and Gorgonzola cheese that come in crumbles, perfect for salads, or full center cut rounds. My most recent post for them includes various pairing ideas for these delicious cheeses. And perhaps if you’re someone that isn’t totally on board with these blue-veined cheeses, my pairing ideas may help you fall in love.
